"If you like your beer, you could do a lot worse than taking a trip to Denmark around Easter.
An old Danish tradition marked the coming of Easter by changing the thin everyday beer with a stronger version to celebrate the religious period.
At the beginning of the 20th century a couple of Danish breweries decided to capitalize on this tradition and introduced a bottled Easter Brew. Since then various Danish breweries have brought out a new Easter Brew every year, which is stronger than normal beer and usually experiments with different ingredients.
The Easter Brew has become so popular in Denmark that new traditions have been created around the beer. One of these traditions is the “P-dag” or “P-day”(22nd of February this year), the annual day when the breweries introduce their Easter Brew.
The “P” stands for “Påske”, which is the Danish word for Easter.
On P-day any self-respecting beer enthusiast (and hordes of students) will meet up with other beer enthusiasts to taste and discuss some of the new Easter Brew. Nowadays more than 100 different Easter Brews are introduced on P-day, so needless to say many beer drinkers end P-day on very shaky legs.".

A jest jeszcze tyle świąt chrześcijańskich, po co ograniczać się do protestantyzmu. Więcej świąt, więcej okazji do picia: Boże Ciało, Matki Boskiej Zielnej (to akurat niekoniecznie piwo, ale w takiej Holandii mogliby się zastanowić), Trzech Króli (Browar Królewskie inwestuje?), Wsztystkich Świętych (niby to samo co Haloween, a jednak nowa okazja, nowe piwo), można by jeszcze np. Popielec ubarwić jakimś postnym piwem, można by jeszcze np. Zielone Świątki uczcić (trochę to przypomina Dzień św. Patryka, ale co tam, taniej wyjdzie, know how na zielone piwo już jest, okazja nowa, nowy produkt.
